Meet Dr. Dmitry Malkin

Dr. Dmitry Malkin is a New York City Psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD), as well as Major Depression, Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Bipolar Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder(OCD).

He graduated from the SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and completed his psychiatric residency at the New York Medical College. Since 2007 he has provided his services to students at Stony Brook University, in conjunction with his Manhattan private practice.

Dr. Malkin knows that each patient is a unique individual with different needs. His treatment philosophy is that psychiatric medications, herbal supplements, and psychotherapeutic techniques are some of the tools that can be applied to aid you in achieving balance.

A strong proponent of a collaborative approach, after a thorough evaluation Dr. Malkin helps his patients understand how to move forward, always considering their particular history and circumstances. He employs cognitive behavioral therapy, rational-emotive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, psychopharmacology and life coaching in his work, enabling his patients to realize their potential in their private and professional lives.

Drawing from his extensive experience in treating ADHD as a college counseling center psychiatrist, Dr. Malkin continues to help patients with ADHD from all walks of life.
